1) Who Won The 1997 Royal Rumble Match?

Stone Cold Steve Austin won the 1997 Royal Rumble match after he last eliminated Bret Hart. With the win, Austin earned a WWF World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 13. Austin entered the match in the number 5 spot. He subsequently compiled 10 eliminations throughout the match.

This was the first of two straight Rumble wins for Austin as he also won in 1998.

2) Bret Hart Won The Vacant WWF Title In A Four Corners Elimination Match At In Your House 13 (1997). Who Was NOT A Part Of This Match?

The answer is Mankind as Bret Hart defeated The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Vader to win the Title. Mankind didn’t wrestle at the event.

The In Your House 13 event also featured Rocky Maivia vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Championship.

3) Who Won The 1997 King Of The Ring Tournament?

The 1997 King Of The Ring Tournament was won by Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He defeated Mankind in the finals of the tournament.

Rumors suggested that Hunter was supposed to actually win the 1996 King of the Ring tournament. Due to his participation in the infamous Curtain Call incident, Triple H was punished by Vince McMahon. Steve Austin ended up winning the 1996 King of the Ring tournament and cutting one of the greatest promos of all time. Austin went on to become one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. Hunter would win the tournament a year later. Funny how things work out.

4) In Which City Was Wrestlemania 13 (1997) Held?

Wrestlemania 13 was held at the Rosemont Horizon in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. This was the second time that Wrestlemania was held in the building. Also, the Rosemont Horizon was one of three hosts of Wrestlemania 2.

Shawn Michaels defended the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against Ken Shamrock at D-Generation X: In Your House. Shamrock won the match via disqualification, which meant that the Title didn’t change hands.

6) Who Did The Undertaker Defeat At Wrestlemania 13 (1997)?

The Undertaker defeated Sycho Sid at Wrestlemania 13 in a No Disqualification match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. This brought the Undertaker’s undefeated streak to 6-0 but this was a time before the Undertaker’s streak at Wrestlemania was even close to a big deal. As we know, he would go on to compile many more Wrestlemania wins in his career.

7) Who Did Stone Cold Steve Austin NOT Win A Tag Team Title With In 1997?

The Undertaker is the only person on the list who Stone Cold Steve Austin did NOT Win A Tag Team Title With In 1997. Austin won tag team gold with both Shawn Michaels and Dude Love. Austin and Michaels held the belts for 49 days until they vacated them. This came after Michaels was suspended for a backstage fight with Bret Hart. Austin and Dude Love held the belts for 55 days. They were forced to vacate the belts after Austin suffered a neck injury.

8) What Match Was The Main Event Of Wrestlemania 13 (1997)?

Sycho Sid vs the Undertaker was the main event of Wrestlemania 13. This was a No Disqualification match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. The Undertaker won the match and the Title.

Bret Hart vs Stone Cold Steve Austin is the most memorable match from Wrestlemania 13. It did not main event the show though. This is the match where Austin passed out in a pool of his own blood while in the Sharpshooter. WWE pulled off a perfect double-turn here with Austin and Bret.

9) What PPV Did Kane Make His Debut At In 1997?

Kane made his debut at Badd Blood: In Your House in 1997. This was during the Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Kane ended up ripping the door of the cell off its hinges to enter. He hit the Undertaker with a Tombstone Piledriver, which allowed Michaels to retain the title. This is considered one of the best debuts in WWE history.

10) True Or False, the WWF Hardcore Title Was First Introduced In 1997

This was False as The WWF Hardcore Title Was First Introduced In 1998. Mr. McMahon awarded the Title to Mankind on November 2nd, 1998. This was the only Hardcore Title reign of Mankind’s career.
